Come design and carve your own Valentine and have it printed on the Nolan Proof Press!

AP staff will help direct the basics of linocut carving to help you achieve the best results. You will also be ables to set your own type and pull the prints off the Nolan Proof Press with the assistance of staff. All designs will be printed on specialty, scored, paper to create cards.

You will be able to take a set of five home to share and spread the love!
No previous experience necessary!

The event will include:
– A directed carving session on lino
– Pulling your own prints off the letterpress with the assistance of staff
– Paper size is 4 x 5.5 inches
– Participants will leave with a total of 5 cards

This event includes all project supplies, participants are recommended to prepare:

• Image ideas for carving at the size of 4 x 5.5″
• Park in the stalls located in front of A/P or use free street parking.
• Bring reading glasses if you need them for fine work.
• Wear suitable clothing for working with ink and/or a work apron.
• Wear close toed shoes and avoid overly loose long sleeves.
• Tie back long hair when operating machinery.
• Personal PPE (if uncomfortable with Shared Studio PPE)

• Event limited to 12 Participants
• This event is open to children ages 12 and up. All participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by either a parent or guardian who is also registered.

Cancellation Policy:

If you have registered for an in-studio class or workshop at A/P but are unable to attend, we require that you notify us as soon as possible, and no later than 7 days before the class or workshop to receive a full refund. Registrants who cancel with 6 days or less notice will receive 50% of their registration fee. Once the class or workshop has begun, A/P is unable to issue a refund as we are subject to a minimum enrolment in order to run.

If A/P cancels a course due to low enrolment, notice will be given at least 72 hours in advance with a full refund issued. For classes cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, registrants will receive a full refund.
