Interconnections
Location:
Gallery San ChunDate/Time:
July 27 – August 24, 2003
Interconnections, will be shown at San Chun Gallery, this July. It is a collaboration between A/P, SNAP of Edmonton, and a group of Japanese printmakers. It’s designed in two parts; a juried show of limited size prints, open to all members of the group and an invited artists show, limited to 7 printmakers from each group.
We are especially indebted to Christina Nalder, who spent many hours working with Koichi Kiyono, artist in residence at U-of-C, who conceived the show. Also thanks to the large crew, which included families of members, who helped with the cheap but labour intensive installation of over 100 prints. We also owe alot to Mee Yun and Ryan, of San Chun Gallery.

Group Show
This project required that the prints submitted be a 30” x 30” minimum. Therefore, A/P members evolved a number of very innovative methods to solve the problems and create a selection of amazing, and large, prints. There re twenty pieces from A/P members within the exhibition. Each artist created an edition size of 7.
These larger-than-life prints will go on tour and exhibit in; The Untitled Art Society, Gallery San Chun, and The McMullen Art Gallery, located within the University of Alberta.
